I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been putting off these Easy DIY Gold Abstract Earrings since summer. My sweet friend saw me wearing these DIY Gold Hammered Earrings back in August and I casually mentioned that if she likes gold, I will make a similar pair for her. Then school started, then everything else snowballed and … ahem… here we are today. Better late than never, I say! Read on – it really is quick and easy – for the tutorial!
What You Need – Easy DIY Gold Abstract Earrings
- Gold earring post – get a pair that has a hole or loop at the bottom of each post to connect with your jump ring
- Wavy Oval Frame Charms
- Gold colored earring backs
- Gold colored jump rings
- Jewelry making pliers (I used 2 for opening and closing the jump rings)

Instructions – Easy DIY Gold Abstract Earrings
- Open your jump rings with pliers – I used 2 sets of pliers (one in each hand) to twist (one side toward you, the other side away from you) each jump ring so that the ends opened forward and backward
- With the jump ring ends open, put the earring post on one end then put the pendant on the other end
- Close the jump ring with pliers
- Repeat for the other earring
- Add the earring backs to each earring
And that’s it! All you have to do is slip on those earrings or package them up! Tell me how your pretty earrings turned out in the comments below.
