I love the abstract imagery I’ve been seeing on Pinterest lately. Lots of beautiful, organic shapes brought together to form stunning pieces of modern art. These DIY Abstract Graphic Pencil Cases are a quick and easy way to incorporate this modern trend as you head off to work or school. Read on to see how you can make these in a snap!
Materials: DIY Abstract Graphic Pencil Cases
- Silhouette Studio (there is a free version!) or any graphic software
- Printer
- Abstract Images – I got mine from Creative Market which free only this week!
- Scissors
- Printable Heat Transfer Material for Light Fabrics
- Light colored pencil cases
- Scrap fabric
- Iron
- Ironing board

Instructions:
- Open your .png images of the abstract images you want on your pencil cases and resize them so that they can fit on the pouches
- Mirror the images
- Load your image transfer sheet into your printer (check the instructions for which side to face down)
- Send your images to print
- Cut around the edges of your images once they are printed
For each pencil case:
- Place an image face down on the pouch and cover film with scrap fabric
- With an iron on high heat (no steam), press down on the image for 30-40 seconds
- Allow the sheet to cool before peeling off the backing
