No surprise here, but I love leaf prints and leaf patterns. I saw this stunning collection of banana leaf tees on Kelly Go Lightly and was instantly inspired to make this DIY Monstera Leaf Tank Top. I used the monstera leaf images from this project but there are so many other images you can download and use. If you feel like DIYing instead of buying, read on to make your own!

How To Make: DIY Monstera Leaf Tank Top
- Pre-wash your tank tops
- Open your .png images of the leaf you want on your tank top and resize and replicate so that they can fit on the tank top
- Load your image transfer sheet into your printer (check the instructions for which side to face down)
- Send your leaf images to print on the transfer sheet
- Cut around the edges of your images
For each leaf:
- Place the image face down on the tank top and cover the transfer sheet with scrap frabric
- With an iron on cotton settings (no steam), press down on the image for 30-40 seconds
- Allow the sheet to cool before peeling off the backing
- Repeat the image transfer process in a pattern on your tank top
And that’s it! Now you have a cute tee for the summer. Pair it with a cute skirt and you’re set! I can’t wait to hear how your tropical tees turned out!
