October Deals:
Did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month? This is very, very close to my heart and Sihouette is super excited to share that they have partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to create specific pink Silhouette materials and tools. With every purchase of one of these pink products, Silhouette donates a portion to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Now, because this is such a huge opportunity Silhouette America is extending the sale so that you can shop the sale for ALL of October instead of just the usual 2 weeks.
The All Pink CAMEO bundle is super special because they have created a custom CAMEO 3 color! This electric pink machine is all pink inside and out. The exclusive CAMEO comes with other exclusive pink materials and tools. They are: a Pink Tool Kit, CAMEO 3 Dust Cover, Pink Vinyl Sampler, and a Pink CAMEO 3 Light Tote. And to make this bundle even more exciting, they are throwing in the Business Edition of their software and a roll of Transfer Tape. This whole bundle is available for $269.99!
To get this fabulous deal, you must click this link and enter code MARITZA at checkout from October 1st-31st.

DIY Pastel Advent Calendar
The Advent Calendar is a blank canvas. Silhouette America will provide you with the cut files to customize your calendar. Also, included in those cut files, is a special Christmas scene. So after all your boxes are removed, you then reveal a fun holiday scene.
DIY Pastel Advent Calendar – Materials:
- Silhouette Studio (there is a free version!)
- Silhouette cutting machine ( I used the CAMEO 3)
- Advent Calendar
- Glue
- Cardstock
DIY Pastel Advent Calendar – Instructions:
Note: you can choose to decorate with the cut files that are already provided with Advent Calendar. If you want a pastel twist to your Christmas, read on!
- In Silhouette Studio, create numbered triangles with pastel colors that will fit on each box
- Send your triangles to print and cut using cardstock settings
- Glue your pastel numbers to your Advent Calendar boxes
- Create and glue little handles for your boxes. I made the little ovals with my Silhouette Alta much like I did for my DIY Square Ring. If you do not have an Alta you can add little tabs to your numbered triangle design
For the Christmas scene:
- Follow the instructions on the download card to load your free cut files that come with the Advent Calendar
- In Silhouette Studio, go to your library and search for Advent
- Pick your designs and send to cut using cardstock settings. I used the one labelled 5 and used different colored cardstock for the top and bottom halves
- Assemble with glue and place your scene at the back of the Advent Calender – lining up the tabs so that the designs stay in place
That’s it! All you need to do is fill your little Advent packages with fun gifts!! And now you have one less thing to worry about this Christmas! What’s even more fun is that you can use this for many years to come. Also, the little scene at the back? You can change it up and the kids can use it to play with all year long!

It’s so cute, Maritza! I very nearly made handles with my Alta as well, but couldn’t think of a good way to attach them. How did you attach yours? Hopefully I’ll have my Advent Calendar up on my blog by the weekend. 🙂
Thanks, Kelly! I feel like we are Silhouette Sistas from other Mistas! I printed the rings on the Alta and used a strong glue to attach them – Can’t wait to see yours! xo
