My brain and heart have been overwhelmed and heavy these past few weeks. As therapy and to keep sane, I always turn to creating. Creating anything. Lately it has been illustrating. I’ve been taking a lot of SkillShare classes to the point where I opened my own Society6 Store! I’m not sure if you noticed but I added a little Shop button to the menu above, so you can see what I’ve been making and turning into designs. I would love for you to check it and let me know what you think. Anyway, to share my therapy with you, I’ve made a free printable coloring page for you to download, color and use as wall art for your home, desk or office. Read on to get to coloring!

Why Should We Be Coloring Now?
We are spending so much time at home these days and our brains are processing so many issues that I think coloring can be an escape for us to reset, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day. Also, coloring is a hobby that does not have much of a learning curve. We’ve been doing it since we were kids, and whether you feel rusty or not, it’s an activity that you can keep to yourself or share with the world.
I’ve done a little reading and wanted to share some benefits of coloring with you:
- Relaxation: coloring is a relaxing activity we can do after a stressful day or week. Wouldn’t it be nice to just unwind by grabbing a page or book to color? Put it on a clipboard, curl up on the couch or sit outside when the weather is nice. Wine is always optional, of course!
- Mental Exercise – coloring can gently activate your logic and creativity. The act of choosing colors and planning how your image will look at the end will get both sides of our brains working without much effort!
- Creativity – your creativity can be stimulated when coloring. It helps build the imagination and can give us the opportunity to experiment with new colors and texture. Coloring can inspire us to think of creative ways to complete our masterpieces!
- Creative Bonds – coloring can be a bonding activity with friend and family. Now that we have a lot of time to spend with our loved ones, why not print out some coloring sheets and color together? It’s a shared activity we can all enjoy with each other at the same time, whether in person or over a video
Now that we know how amazing coloring is, let’s download, print and color!
