Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another DIY, yes? How about some wooden arrow gift tags? I’ve been itching to do something with my balsa wood and thought this one would be a nice little project to try. I printed my arrow images on Silhouette’s printable tattoo paper to get the arrows on the tags. Want to try some too?
The What
- Silhouette Studio
- Arrow images – I used the arrows from these which are free this week on Creative Market
- Temporary Tattoo Paper
- Wet towel
- Scraper
- Balsa wood
- Printer
- Natural hemp cord
- Hole punch
- Scissors or Craft knife and cutting mat
- Clear sealant or nail varnish
The How
- To create your wooden tags, cut rectangles from your balsa wood sheets
- Gently apply the hole punch to create a hole in your tag
- Open Silhouette Studio and merge your arrows
- Mirror your arrows
- Print your arrows onto tattoo paper
- Apply the clear adhesive sheet. Use your scraper to smooth the bubbles out
- Cut closely around your arrows
- Remove the clear adhesive paper, and apply the tattoo to your tag
- Apply a clear sealant or nail varnish to the wood
These tags add a nice touch of nature and texture to your gifts and pretty packages. What event will you use your tags for?

Hi Maritza,
We love these little tags! Thanks so much for sharing them on Made With Creative Market (http://crtv.mk/t0EGT) so we (and everyone else) could see them. We love the idea of taking digital assets and turning them into physical works of art like this 🙂
Yay! Thank you so much, Creative Market!! I love all that you do 🙂
