MmmHm. You read correctly… DIY paper flowers with fonts. Is she sniffing too much fast-drying tacky glue, you ask? Hear me out. So you know I’ve created paper flowers with these simple shapes – hearts, diamonds and circles? Why not use your favorite font’s asterisk? If you look at the few I’ve used, will you be convinced? It’s the perfect simple shape and can be used when cut as a lovely paper flower to decorate your pretty tables, parties and packages.
The What
The How
1. Create a new document in Silhouette Studio
2. Using the text tool, type your asterisks in various fonts. Here are the ones I used
3. Resize (if required) and cut your shapes using cardstock settings. Punch a hole for the string. Knot your string and thread through the hole
And that’s it! How fun is it to discover all these glorious floral shapes that have been right under our noses? Which fonts will you use?
